Guys and DollsI got started in theatre during my sophomore year of high school. For my first production I was on the stage crew of Bye Bye Birdie and I ran the lighting. The lighting system in the theater was a very old, broken manual control system on stage right. For one scene I remember having to sit on a stool because I had to use all my limbs to do the light change. The following year we were in a brand new theater with a (cheap) computerized lighting system. Because of the lack of interested males I was cast as an ensemble member of Oklahoma. Shortly into the rehearsal process several rolls needed to be changed around and I was given the roll of Cord Elam. In the fall of 2007 I designed the lighting for the Fall Plays by Joshua Streeter. The Fall Plays - No More Jumping On The Bed These short plays were stage adaptations of several children's books. Not only did I design the lighting, but I also had several speaking rolls in the production. My final roll at Troy Senior High School was Harry The Horse in Guys and Dolls.

During the fall semester at Albright College I was the light board operator for You Are Here by Jeffery Lentz. I also served as Assistant Stage Manager during the spring production of The Laramie Project. Throughout the spring semester I worked on the light hang, focus, and strike of several shows.

During my first semester at Bloomsburg University I was the light board programmer and operator for Baby With The Bath Water and Actor's Nightmare. I also assisted in several light hangs and show Leaf on the Phone In Putnam Countystrikes. During the spring semester I worked as the Master Electrician for New Plays In Bloom, which was a collection of student written 10 minute and full length plays.

My second year at Bloomsburg has kept me very busy. During fall 2010 I was the Assistant Lighting Designer to Ethan Krupp for Anon(ymous). Anon(ymous), directed by Ingrid DeSanctis and set design by William Boles, was invited to perform at the KCACTF Region II Festival in January 2011. While preparing Anon(ymous) for KCACTF I was also working on my first complete lighting design, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. I am also the Lighting Designer for the BU Player's production of Anton In Show Business April 13 - 17.
